Stuffy nose with FFM

Post by rosacer » Tue Nov 06, 2012 11:18 pm

Hey y'all

I started to use my Ultra Mirage FFM again.

I had been using the Headrest with a chinstrap but it makes huge marks on my face which last 4 hours to vanished even if I splash my face with cold water or even put a pack of ice directly.

What I have seen is my sinuses become kind of stuffy with the FFM. The humidifier and the temperature are the same as when I was using the Headrest.

I'll appreciate your ideas and comments about this situation.

I can't block the passage of the air putting my tongue on the roof of my mouth. I have lost weight I don't understand if that is the reason but even taping doesn't work because I would need to use a big tape covering all my mouth, the small piece of tape I used to use in the front of the mouth doesn't work any more .

Thanks

Hi, this might seem obvious, but if you're running the humidifier at e.g. 3, turn it down to 1, or even possibly 0 (passover mode) depending on the options your machine gives you... you may just not need extra humidity at all.

I find that using Breathe Right strips helps with nasal congestion when using my QuattroFX.

I notice that an FFM will make my nose stuffy if it is tight around the upper part of my nose.
I can duplicate the effect with my forefinger and thumb.
This way I can figure out exactly where my nose is squeeze-sensitive.
Sliding the mask up or down to relieve pressure on the 'soft' spot helps (me).

Thank you sleepdepraved2 for the suggestion.

Thanks Chunky, me too I have notice the same thing if something squeezes certain areas of my nose. I will try to check that.

Hi guys

The problem was the humidity level, Julie won the price Yes it was only that, the humidity was too high. I still need humidity but only descending one unit was enough to fix my sinuses.

Thank you all for your suggestions

Rosie
