Auction for Remstar Auto

Post by Sleepless on LI » Sat Apr 29, 2006 8:06 am

This is a link to a Yahoo Auction for anyone who wants a Remstar Auto with 1094 hours on it. I have no connection to this seller and can't say he's reliable or not, but thought I'd put it out there for anyone who needs this machine and can't afford it new.

Yes, I have used Yahoo a few times. So far, I've been lucky with the sellers I've dealt with.

They do have a "Buyer Protection Plan," which I'm sending a link for you to view. They are pretty good, it seems. And I always back up my purchases with Paypal, who does back you up.

Good luck. Hope you win.

Ask all your questions in front. Ask every question you can think of.

I bought a used Remstar auto and it has been useful but the humidifier connection did not work. I already had a humidifie for my Pro and the used one was sold without, I didn't ask, it didn't work - caveat emptor. It also smelled, I couldn't figure it out but then I realized it was probably in a smoker's house and even @ 241 hours it stank. The stink did go away. Be sure you get a smartcard, if you can. For what I paid for it, it was worth it but even after a week I am back on my Pro. The Auto told me what I needed to know and that was worth it. Now I have a back up if I need it.

Please do. I wish you luck.

I've personally been very fortunate with the few times I've won a Yahoo auction, but you never know. Good luck.

Tooly: Let me know if you don't get it... I have a couple a good Remstar Auto's (less humidifier) with less hours and a Spirit with 2i humidifier with only a couple hundred hours on it (would have to check for exact # hours). In factory packing, manuals etc. I'd be willing to get rid of.

I've been waiting for a new M series autopap to come out.

BE WARNED.

I bid on and won that machine about 3 or 4 weeks back. Won it for $255 - went to contact the seller but Yahoo kept saying they were now deregistered.

Paypal - same thing.

The winning bid notification also held a nasty surprise. The shipping cost (not showing prior in the listing), was shown as $45 but I couldn't communicate with the seller to discuss due to mail always being returned.

Note also - this machine doesn't have Cflex.

DSM,

It was the same user name? If that's the case, why are they letting this guy do this to someone else again? They ought to be ashamed of themselves.

And do you mean to tell me Paypal hasn't gotten your money back? I had a problem on eBay with a seller once over a handbag and they stepped up and got my money back to me. They were wonderful. It was advertised as a real Coach bag and it was apparently a knock-off since I had an original one and was buying this one for my daughter and when we compared the two, it was obvious. But I didn't lose a penny over the transaction once Paypal got involved.

Maybe Tooly should just take Snoredog up on his offer. At least he'd be dealing with someone trustworthy. Even if it's a little more money, I'd feel better having peace of mind. I would hate to see someone being taken for a ride, especially when I posted the thread for that auction to begin with.

Thanks, DSM, for the heads-up. Good thing you read this.

Tooly, you may want to retract your bid ASAP...

DSM,

Are you sure this is the same machine? The one pictured in the listing has the C-flex blue sticker.

Wader I am now mystified.

I went to Yahoo & located this link
http://auctions.yahoo.com/auction/99174822

Here is the link that I bid on & was what I 1st linked to ???

http://auctions.yahoo.com/auction/98163846

It may well be an unusual coincidence. Look at the links.

Thanks & I apoloise if I got the wrong one.

Lori,

Due to an unfortunate coincidence I related your post to a link that coincidentally reappeared in Yahoo for an AUTO that I was involved with when in fact your link is to a different item that I had missed.

Sorry for the confusion.

Cheers
