I haven't read this entire thread so sorry if I'm asking a question that has already been asked.
Sleepyhead is working just fine the way it is... I'm afraid of messing something up with this patch...not the most computer literate person. Can I just leave well enough alone?

of course. it's mainly about the 60's series machines being able to use it now.

Yes, just leave things well enough alone. SH gives you what you want and that is what is important.
Main thing about it is that people using the PR S1 60 series machines now can use SleepyHead.

Your 250 model machine doesn't collect any data beyond hours of use.
So sorry to tell you that. You have a machine that doesn't gather any useful data.
Might want to read this..make sure you read all the way down the page.
http://maskarrayed.wordpress.com/
Nothing you can do to make the machine offer anything beyond how many hours you used the machine last night or last week.
In the Respironics PR S1 series of machines you need at least model 450 to get the full data that SleepyHead shows us. Models in the 200s or 100s...hours of use or compliance data only
What you say is true but I still like to review my 260 sleep compliance data! Anyway, I ordered a DS250 so as not to keep paying for a rental. The company gave me a "Complimentary Upgrade to a DS260S". Now SleepyHead even with the patch file wont read anything but the model & serial number(it worked for the 250).

Don't know why the patch on SH doesn't allow you to at least see your hours of use. I had nothing to do with the patch.
If you want to see hours of use then you can use Encore though. No Mac version though if you happen to be using a Mac.
Send me a private message and we'll get you Encore version that will work with the 60 series machine.

Hi everyone. I am new here. I just got a new cpap machine. It is a Remstar Auto Dom 560P.
I had a cpap yrs ago, but the constant pressure always bothered me. Now these new machines rest, when you exhale....Much nicer.
My pressure 10yrs ago was 8-9. Now it is 15-20!!! I think it is due to scar tissue from a recent very bad facial injury.
Anyway. I am looking for the Encore Basic software. I am willing to buy it, but can't find it anywhere. Can you guys help me.
Also my pressure being higher. Do you think its the scar tissue from my reconstrutive surgery?
Thanks

Check your private message box for information on EncoreBasic.
Your pressure needs being higher now than in the past could simply be the aging process. We get older and fatter and the airway tissues get flabbier and takes more pressure to hold the tissues open.
I don't know where your reconstructive surgery was done but unless it was done around the area behind and below the tongue behind the jawline I don't see the scar tissue being a factor in pressure needs but if the surgery was in the airway tissues themselves for some reason the yes...I imagine that it could have impacted the patency of the airway tissues.
The end result is that you need more pressure though...and it doesn't really matter why in the long run.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.
