Commented on in detail within your first thread.
What is the leak number? I asked that question in my response in your other thread.

Leak Numbers: L/Min
Median: 0.0 95th Percentile: 6.0 Maximum: 115.2
Re: First night Results
95% of the time your leak was at or below 6 L/min....well below large leak territory of 24 L/min.
You maximum...that is to be expected..you were likely fiddling with the mask getting a good seal. Probably very short brief spikes to that maximum. It will inflate that 95% number though.
I suspect your leak line was quite decent and only showed a few very brief short lived spikes past 24 L/min.
Short version....very good leak number...well within acceptable limits and doesn't look like leaks are going to be much of an issue if you can get that good of a number on the first night. I think mine was worse for my last night.

Re: First night Results
I assume 21:00 was final bed time and the other was testing things out?
For some reason it is showing 10 hours used.....Were you actually asleep until 21:00 when the fireworks began?
I think you are going to find that the minimum of 4 is going to allow more events than you will want to see.
I would be seriously considering increasing it both for comfort and ability to effectively prevent the events.
The machine responds rather quickly to event warning signs but not quickly enough from 4 cm to do a good job.
It doesn't jump from 4 to 10 in a blink of an eye.
If your sleep time didn't start until 21:00 when the fireworks began then your AHI is essentially doubled and more than you will want to see.
You can see what tonight brings but I suspect you are going to need more minimum.

I went to bed just before 21H00, earlier in the day, that was a nap..
In 10 days I will be going back to the Sleep Clinic, I will mention the 4cm thing to them. What do you think would be a good startup pressure?
By the way, thanks for your replies
Re: First night Results
If your median stays the same and the 95% stays the same over the next few nights...probably around 8 or 9.PaulB1979_CANADA wrote:What do you think would be a good startup pressure?
I know they do things a little differently in Canada and they may have set the machine wide open on purpose to get an idea where it needs to be and then re-evaluate pressure needs when you go back.
For sure need to talk to them about that minimum.

Re: First night Results
I think 8 or 9 cm H20 pressure is a really good place to start as a minimum for you. Definitely ask them about it. Then, use the machine for a 2-3 weeks and fine tune your pressure settings, assuming leaks are under control first.
Keep up the good work!

Re: First night Results
Just wanted to say Welcome Paul. I'm an ex-trucker and while I didn't have my sleep apnea diagnosed till well after I was off the road, I can certainly feel for what you are going through. Looks like you have a pretty good handle on things for just starting out. Good job!
