No obscenity or profanity???? I had no idea. Well, between the CPAP failure and this, there's little point in staying now.

Well, with 550 views of this topic in less than a day (and a Saturday, no less!), I guess it can't be too revolting.

I had no idea who was funding this forum, but now that I know...

THANK YOU SO MUCH CPAP.COM!!!!

The forum is a wonderful resource. I've had nothing but great experiences with cpap.com, too. The people who answer the phone there are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.

I want to apologize on behalf of my younger brother, DeltaDave, on his use of profanity. I've reminded him that he can't keep violating the terms and conditions of a website. Please forgive him for his crassness. He's usually not this way.

Similarly, I would like to apologize for my younger sister for her coyote-ugliness.

Perhaps if I could get her to at least shave, she might be able to "hook-up".

I find this thread ironic. Everyone is so concerned about the OP possible rant but no one seems to give a darn about Delta Dave's initial post on saying STFU and his constant intentional hijacking of threads which is a million times worse in my opinion.

ENOUGH OF THIS GARBAGE!

Of course, I am sure you will respond by doing more of it just to be irritating because that is what you do.

And for the most part, I think you've done a good job in living those tenets there, Reverend Jeff.

Clearly, I have number of faults and shortcomings that have and will continue to exist. However, I would offer that those critical of those faults should self-examine to see if their policy of judgement is consistent. Do they criticize the overweight for being obese? The forlorn for being depressed? The uncomely for being ugly? The Democrats for being idiots?

If not, then why not?

I find comfort in accepting those faults-- they simply allow me to be who I am. If other people cannot accept them, then I don't see where that's my problem.

Further, instead of criticizing, they should be thanking.

After all, if it were not for lowlifes like me, then the gentry would never be recognized as such.

Thanks, Uncle Dave. I'm not so sure. I've made plenty of posts I regret. I think I still need to work on it.

I very much admire your years of helpfulness to people on various forums. Your info is always good, and you do a good job of keeping me, and others, on course when we start to stray medically or scientifically. I always appreciate it when you do that. It makes the forums you post in a safer place to be in that respect.
deltadave wrote:. . . Do they criticize the overweight for being obese? . . .
I'm working on that, too. My being obese, that is.

But I still have to judge whether I meet the user agreement. Others have to judge for themselves whether they are meeting it. And ultimately, only Johnny's opinion on the matter is the most meaningful one, and the rest of us then have to decide whether we choose to read and post here based on our own personal tolerance for what we might prefer not to read in a public forum, when some prefer G, some prefer PG, some prefer R, and others seem to be shooting for NC-17.

You've been posting much more helpful info than I ever have for more years by far than I have, so I am in no position to judge. But I hope you don't mind my stating that I would prefer not to have to risk reading the F bomb every time I open a thread. It makes me think my sensitivities may be too high to participate here. Maybe they are. And if so, that's on me, not you.

But I thought you might appreciate at least knowing my perhaps overly-sensitive reaction, just in case it is useful info to you. If it isn't, sorry I brought it up, please forgive me for it, and carry on as you were. If you decide your choice of words and abbreviations meet the user agreement, I have no choice but to trust your judgment on that. Self-judgment. Not community judgment.

This clearly exposes yet another of my faults-- that of inattentiveness!

In this gag, the subject should have been "older" sister to maintain continuity.

And so who is it that deleted the post quoted below? When you contact Johnny be sure to let him know the board moderator has returned.

It was DD who pioneered the StillAnotherGuest and now seems to have given birth to more ruthless identities in this thread.
DD's Ego wrote:Just one asteroid.

Is that really too much to ask?

Coming in at 25,000 miles an hour it really needn't be all that big.

Just one asteroid.

Tho a lightning strike would really make me a believer.

Not in the least!

At worst, you'd be classified a "double-bagger".
