for 4 years i have been using a resmed s8 apap . i was able to play around with the pressure range and achieved a perfect rage of 4.4--7.4. when i had my sleep study done i was a 7. when the machine died i got a new s9. i have followed the instructions online for getting to the clinical menu and i can get to that screen but i can't change anything. there is a symbol of an open padlock in the upper right hand corner. does this mean that the medical supply co. has "locked" me into the pressure range 7-15 which is so high it just about blows my nasal pillows offf! does anybody know how to get rid of that locked feature so that i can adjust my pressures back to a comfortable range ?
thanks
changing a locked resmed s9
Re: changing a locked resmed s9
I believe the open lock symbol just means that you're in the clinical menu. Once you get to the clinical menu, push the round button one more time to get into the Settings, then you should be able to scroll down through the various settings.
Edit: I just got hold of the clinical manual -- it says that the open padlock symbol means you're in the clinical menu. The clinical manual doesn't say anything about preventing the patient from changing settings, so it may be just a matter of doing what I mentioned above.
