Please help sleepyhead issues?

Post by mzlaura1884 » Thu Aug 30, 2012 4:10 pm

I have never been a night without the mask since i started Aug 17th. I just noticed according to sleepyhead these was no data on Aug 23rd which makes no sense to me! Look at this even which clearly shows that i have been on mask 13 days. I don't understand what happened?
Will my insurance company think i am in-compliant because sleepyhead isnt showing data for the 23rd?

Number one....DME will use ResScan data to evaluate any compliance issues...they won't be using SleepyHead.
Don't know why missing data for the one night. Maybe a bad file or something caused SH to not be able to communicate.
Number two....even if you had missed one night it wouldn't be a big problem. Missing one night is not a big deal.
Most of the time they look for 70% of the nights that the machine is used for more than 4 hours. You easily have that covered.

You could give ResScan a try to see if the data is also missing on it.

put your card back in the machine. leave it there a few minutes to load anything it missed. take out and re-try in the computer. sometimes even though electric things appear plugged in and should be working, they are not making a good connection. think about a car battery. sometimes even though it is connected you have to wiggle the cable to make the connection. %*&# happens. i hope this helps.

I am also missing a day. Tuesdays information is gone.
I just chalked it up to gremlins and go on.

Last week I had 3 days missing in ResScan and they showed up in SleepyHead. Then 3 days later the missing 3 days showed up in ResScan. The aliens have been busy lately.

Medicare (Most insurances follow medicare) will give you 90 days to be compliant. Every month you can either download it yourself or send it into your DME for a 30 day period you have to use your machine at least 70% so 4 hours a night to be complaint. If your not compliant within the first 30 days you will have another 30 days. If your not complaint still you will have one more month to be complaint. If your still not complaint but you are 100% sure you used your machine for at least 4 hours a night it could be your machine / data card. But if your not compliant within those 90 days the DME will either pick your machine up or have you send it back in.
