Does not allow one to log in. Unless someone has gotten smart and banned me.

Can someone advise whoever the captain of the forum is that not all is right on the forum?

Johnny is the captain of the forum and he knows about the chat problems. They have been having server issues and trying to fix those problems and so those attempted fixes have broken chat again. They are working on it.
Be patient. Unfortunately chat is down the list of problems right now.
I think that they are still having issues with the server. While I don't get many error messages anymore I am still losing the connection and getting tons of time out messages.

The only negative connection problem I get - related to CPAP is just the one that when I enter a name on CHAT it never hooks up. Perhaps your time outs are due to your ISP or you computer, Router/Setup. Those can be hard things to figure out.

How many of the others have a good connection with the forum, and the other?

Nope, totally related to the cpaptalk forum only. First thing I always check is the connection to other websites.
The connection issue was discussed not long ago. Lots of people said "me too, I thought it was my computer"...it wasn't. Johnny and his IT guys know about it. They are working on it but it takes a lot of time to go through and sort out the problem tickets...I think that they are in the thousands...Fix one problem and 2 others pop up type of thing.
