Has anyone had their drivers license suspended due to sleep apnea?

Untreated apnea is cause to suspend/deny a CDL.
Apnea in truck drivers is VERY serious business;
it may be the first occupation where OSA is really taken seriously. . .
(even more so than airline pilots, sad to say.)

At least with airline pilots there is a co-pilot... right?

It depends on where you live and the state / provincial rules and the kind of license you have.

Hi,

An interesting stat that I heard is that when comparing occupations, truck drivers have the highest percentage of CPAP users. That isn't because it happens more in truck drivers, but rather, truck drivers get screened and diagnosed at a much higher rate.

Does anyone watch Ice Road Truckers? There is a guy on this season called "Pork Chop". He scares me. I can see him doing the head bob as he drives the truck. It shouldn't take a sleep study or a MD to determine that he has a sleep disorder. I don't mind if someone kills themselves, but I sure hope he doesn't take out someone else in the process.
