Older technology BiPap

Post by STL Mark » Sat Aug 04, 2012 10:54 am

I love old stuff, had never seen a BiPap like this before. Show me any antiques you have (it is not appropriate to include pictures of your spouse).

Wowsers!! That thing looks huge....you'd have to have a pretty big table to set it up. Do you have any idea how old it is?

That thing looks like it'll inflate you like a balloon!

Must sound like an air compressor in the garage, too.

Hi,

I love it that the pressure settings are big dials. I wonder if sleep clinics and RT's had issues with people changing their pressures on this beast?

I think that's the model where you put coal into the hopper in the back and have to start a fire in the boiler half an hour before you want to go to sleep.

I love the tagline below the maker's name: Airway Management System. Do you have to have a Air Traffic Controller's license to use it?

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

It is in the St. Louis craigslist as a working unit. If someone wants it for a museum I will be glad to pick it up and ship it. It is listed at $50.00. Probably will cost as much to ship.

Mine is not quite that old but old none the less. Says it is a BiPAP Ventilator.
