Bye-bye "Brick" Hello Autopap
Ok, so I had exchange my brick for an autopap... now here's an interesting fact... I told them i just want a autoset, and from what the machine says (on the top) that it is a autoset... but when I looked at my exchange receipt it literally said "Auto Escape"... hmmm interesting right? now how do I know if what I have is an Autoset not an auto escape? I just want to make sure I got what I asked for.

Welcome, hopefully, to the efficacy data world!
1) On the top of the unit in the upper left you should see the word Autoset.
2) Mask up and turn the thing on for a few minutes, hold your breath once or twice for longer than 10 seconds. Turn it off and pull the sdcard and look in SleepyHead or rescan for waveform and event data.

If I was you I won't use it until I know that's the machine I want to have. If you test it are they going to exchange it as a used machine it becomes?
Try to check in the back of the unit what is writen there. Here is the list of REsmed unit product's numbers http://www.resmed.com/us/documents/product-list-usa.pdf
I think you have a 36002 Escape Auto and you want a full data AutoSet 36005.

Well they exchanged the one that I used for 2 months and gave me this...rosacer wrote:If I was you I won't use it until I know that's the machine I want to have. If you test it are they going to exchange it as a used machine it becomes?
Try to check in the bottom of the unit what is writen there and let us know.
anyway
on the top it says Autoset with EPR
the back it says ResMed 1PX1 S9
the bottom it says nothing really important just the manufactoring and the copy right and a lot of that useless stuff that we don't really care about lol.

Re: Bye-bye "Brick" Hello Autopap
It's probably the real thing. Surrounding the on/off button should be a plastic piece with "AutoSet" and "EPR" inscribed in it.silentsinger21 wrote:Ok, so I had exchange my brick for an autopap... now here's an interesting fact... On the back it says "reference 36005" or something similar on a real AutoSet.

Re: Bye-bye "Brick" Hello Autopap
Whoooo hooo, so I got real tired and took a nap with my new auto and I just had the best sleep with it...the best news? I KEPT MY MASK ON . So I went onto SleepyHead and check the records.. I saw that I'm still snoring, I thought CPAP should help stop the snoring?

OK, wet blanket time:
If the paperwork is wrong, they may be able to refuse to honor the manufacturer's warranty.
Make sure the SERIAL NUMBER is correct on the receipt, and don't let them touch your new Autoset.
Gently urge them to correct their 'error' on the statement, but do NOT let them get their grubby paws
on your machine until every number on paper matches every number on your Autoset.
The incorrect paperwork may give them a chance to pull a switch on you--or it could be an honest mistake.
Be nice, but you 'left the blower at home--it's so heavy' Take a picture of the ID plates to match with their paperwork.

Ok I just checked the serial Number it matches up perfectly but here is what the paper says
Exchange: Item CPAP-RES-S0 Excape, Resmed S9 Escape Serial number: *********** (censored by me)
Exchange Items:
CPAP-RESMED-S9 AUTO, RESMED S9 ESCAPE AUTO CPAP Serial number: *********** (censored by me)
(Typed by what it had said so from me there is no typo but there is a typo I understand)... so does that mean everything is right?

Re: Bye-bye "Brick" Hello Autopap
I really think that for your protection,
the statement should say you received an Autoset;
but as long as the serial numbers match----guys; what do you think?
