A wonderful, happy day to you Roby Sue.

Good luck with the surgery tomorrow. It's crazy how something in your pinky finger can cause so many problems. But I'm sure you'll be quickly on the mend and feeling better soon.

Again, thanks to all for the birthday wishes.

Surgery on the Pinky went well. They had me bring my bipap, but didn't use it. Surgery was done under heavy sedation (with a bit of supplemental O2) and a nerve block to thoroughly numb the entire lower left arm.

I've now got two pins in the pinky and a cool looking Bengal Tiger cast that covers about 2/3 of my lower left arm. (My college's teams are the Bengals.) The arm is very, very numb and is expected to remain numb for up to 24 hours.

Typing is obvious one handed and will be for some time. With the previous splint, I was able to use the left thumb and index finger for things like the shift key.

Belated birthday wishes. Hope your surgery went well. I, too, thank you for all your help a year ago when I was just starting this process.

Happy Belated Birthday! Sorry I'm late to the party as I was on vacation all last week and am slowly working through all the missed posts from bottom to top.
