My data is wacked

I am using sleepyhead to read my data. For the first 30 days, everything has functioned normally. I have averaged about 6.5 hours use per night, AHI still a little on the high side. I had to send the SD card to my DME after the 30 days and replace the SD card with the one that they had sent me. When I loaded the data to sleepyhead this morning, it changed the previous 30 days of data. It now says my average for the month is over 14 hours with the longest being 17 hours. Seems like the data has doubled. Is this a sleepyhead issue or some other issue? Has anyone ever experienced this? Thanks in advance!

I think it's a daylight savings time vs. standard time bug in SleepyHead. I have the same kind of thing.

Double sessions...known bug in SleepyHead. Mark has fixed that bug recently but not yet released. Popped up when we went to DST and unknown why some see the double sessions and some do not.

For time being...just turn off the extra session. Left side under pie chart..all the way to the bottom...turn from green to red...yours may be top one or bottom one. If you turn off the wrong one easy to see because the graphs go to "no data".

You will have to do each individual affected report. Annoying if there are a lot of them. To see which ones are doubled go to the Overview tab.

Thanks Brenda. You always seem to have the answers The double sessions impacted all 30 of the previous sessions. Wish there was an easier way!

Hey, you are lucky. When it first happened to me it was just the DST post change nights...but I didn't know the cause and thought I needed to fix SH with a fresh install and reimport of data...
Didn't work..didn't fix the issues and instead of just a couple of reports being affected....it affected every single report for 2 months (all my old reports).

The fix is in the new build stuff but I don't know how to do that sort of stuff but if your are software guru you can build SH yourself and there is a fix for the problem in the most recent files...I am not so I wait for update release.

When you have the double session is there data for the day before? When this happens I have none. Today I downloaded 7 days and have 1 double session but no missing data for the day before. Which I was able to correct as you guys suggested. Here's hoping that it gets fixed soon.

Yes, there is an easier way. Use ResScan instead of SH like I do. You can download the program and study the video that are linked in the links mentioned on my signature line, even if Brenda gets annoyed.

If you don't have ResScan software you can download it from the link at my signature line.

I don't care what software program someone wants to use. Makes zero difference to me what someone prefers.
SleepyHead isn't perfect but then neither is ResScan. It is a big bloated slow pig just like Encore.
I happen to prefer SleepyHead but I used it for many months before I ever got a ResMed machine so it stands to reason that I am more familiar with SleepyHead.

If someone has a Mac computer then SleepyHead has a Mac version. Much easier to use than installing a Windows environment on a Mac to use ResScan.

Liz there are several threads on the double session thing.
Annoying little bug in SH that has been fixed in the source code but Mark hasn't released it as an update yet as he is working on a few other little bugs. Seems to only affect the ResMed machines. I just automatically go turn off the double session after I import. I have noticed that sometimes it doesn't stick and I have to go back and turn off some older imports.
It's fairly easy to spot them on the overview graph.

CPAP.com no longer has the downloadable version of ResScan. If you click on your link, it says, "This product no longer available and this information is for reference only."

Could you just select "No DST" like the smart people in AZ recogonize it is silly and useless ... So we don't change our time, neither does HI I believe ...

We tried that...no matter what we choose with the DST option in SleepyHead the bug remains.
When this problem first occurred I tried everything I could think of to fix things. Nothing worked.
The correction has to come from the source code.

Avi, I use them both but still feel ResScan is a bulky, overblown piece of software. Even with the few glitches that SleepyHead presents, it's easier and faster to use and understand making it much better for new folks. Not everyone's computer has the space available to run ResScan properly anyway.
