Based on my numbers, it is fairly long, but I have had events of 35 s in recent nights. Many are much shorter. The key for me would be to see if you can find out whether there is a relationship between the breathing events and the arrhythmias. That would be another thing worth reporting to his doc. Good luck in your search for answers.

Yes, we really want to know about that relationship, unfortunately the arrhythmia's is constant and so we will only know if they go away once his apnea's get controlled a bit, at least that is what we are hoping. We will be doing another ECG soon and that will tell us more. We are thinking about asking about the Oximeter for more information on what is happening. Thank you for your help.

I just read on another thread that we can look in the event tab and see how long events are lasting. I just looked and see numbers and am wondering what these numbers mean? These are CA numbers and do they seem like normal numbers to see, I mean if you have CA events?

Also click on an event in that list, and it will zoom in on the airflow waveform and other graphs. Sometimes an "apnea" is no breathing at all, sometimes it's reduced breathing. That gives you an idea how severe it is, in addition to how long it is.

This Sleepyhead is a way cool little program. Did you create it Pugsy?

No, I had nothing to do with its creation. Another forum member came up with the idea because he was unhappy with the data that was available with the Encore software (which was also a PITA often to install and use) for his Respironics machine.
ResMed users begged him to make it work with their machines and the rest is history. It is still really an infant in terms of software age. What we are using now is only the first Beta version but even with its little bugs it is a sweet little program.
Fast and easy to use.

I have zero skills when it comes to creating software. I am going to try to learn more about what he has done so I can go a little deeper but it requires me to totally learn a bunch of stuff that I have zero experience with. Kind of hard for this old woman to pick up on and I need lots of time and don't have that right at the moment. I have family coming for a visit and after they are gone hopefully I will have some time to devote to learning more about the inner workings of the software, mainly so I can test some stuff. Between my regular life outside the house and my forum life (takes a lot of time to compose this stuff sometimes) and just general reading...it is hard to have the discipline to set down and tackle something entirely foreign to me. I am lazy by nature...I know it will be work and it is awfully easy for me to keep finding excuses not to do the work.

ResScan software which is what ResMed has developed for use also offers a lot of the same data. Just presented visually a little different. It has event duration also. It is big, bulky, painfully slow and really designed for DME and doctor's office and not us as the end user. More like the actual data was a side thought. I have that software also, but I prefer SleepyHead. Other people like ResScan better, that is fine too. Doesn't really matter what is used as long as they are happy.
If you wish to give ResScan a try.. send me a private message and I will get you the latest version. It is a wee bit faster in the download process for data than the 3.16 version out there.

Seeing the individual event with flow (or absence of flow) is really cooL.l I have had some "centrals" get flagged when there was flow...it was a bit weird looking flow but definitely air moving. They are not all nice straight clear cut flat lines.

Being lazy is not a problem for a programmer - we spend all our time getting computers to do our work for us. On the other hand, you are a clear, organized thinker who writes well. That is important.
