apnea and migraine

Post by LBV » Fri Feb 04, 2005 7:53 pm

Hi everyone, I posted on here once before under LV, it won't let me get back on with that, so here I am with post #2 with my new LBV. Anyhow, I saw my sleep doc yesterday and I am set up to receive an autopap on Feb.21st. My question is..Has anyone had migraines and they improved using a sleep machine? It is really my chief complaint right now, as I am being hit with them weekly...I never knew how good I had it when I would get one about 1-2x yearly!! They are really disrupting my life, as well as my families lives. I lose my vision in both eyes, slur my speech, tingly mouth, tongue, lip etc. and then a huge headache. Anyways, The doc stated that the autopap should help, I guess that it does make sense in the fact that my poor brain is deprived of O2 all night and that could bring on a migraine. I am starting to feel overwhelmed, he wanted me to get going on it ASAP, but I said I needed to feel better first, so I'm waiting 2 weeks, heck the accident was ten years ago, so whats 2 more weeks. I am going to try to have a positive attitude although it seems like one health issue after another, I also have vertigo permanently from the accident, and upper cervical instability, and some neuro issues, so enough already. If anyone has some encouraging words about autopap and migraine that would be great. I'll try to keep in touch once I get started. Thank you. God Bless, LV
