Anyone selling a cheap CPAP machine

Post by kickapooh » Thu Jun 14, 2012 5:33 am

I just found this board and this is my first post here.

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea in 2007. I don't have insurance and was self-pay for my sleep study and CPAP machine. My machine has seen much better days and I really need to get another one soon. I don't really have the money to buy a new one right now so I figured I would reach out to the community here and see if anyone had one they don't use anymore that they'd be willing to sell or donate? I only have about $100 right now to spend.

I am a big guy 300 lbs and have a mask and hose already. I believe my pressure setting is at 19 but I don't really know how to check it. I have a scanned copy of my prescription as well. I live in Knoxville Tennessee and I do have PayPal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Look at Waverunner's posting (you need to be a member to do it) - he's donating a machine.

I have a 'brick' that I could send you.

I used it daily for at least 10 years and I have no idea how much life it has left in it.

If you're interested I'll pull it out and get the make/model for you and make sure it still works. I will attest that it is not as quiet as today's machines but it served me well until my doc ordered one with recording capabilities for me.

I have no idea how to adjust the pressure but I'm sure there's a clinician's manual for it somewhere online.

If you want it and it still works I'd be happy to let it go for cost of shipping.

Would be nice to know which one you have. There are many, many models out there.
Brand name AND model number would help a lot.
If you register here then someone who might be interested could contact you privately.
