Over the years I have used Microlife blood pressure monitors. I have been very pleased with them. When I verify calibration at the doctors office, they seem reasonably accurate.
My current unit is the Model BP3NA1-1X
5 year warranty and the computer interface allows for historical tracking, with notes.

Oops.. Sorry read your post late and already made the trip to Walmart and purchased the ReliOn Blood Pressure Monitor: Model HEM-741CREL. I like the idea it both plugs into the wall or runs on 4 AA Batteries. I took a reading and got 125/83 which means if accurate, my BP has come down a bit from yesterday. I didn't take the 'suspect' Lexapro Generic this morning. I'm going to stay off it another day and check BP then go back on it a day or two and take some readings and see if there is an actual correlation.HoseCrusher wrote:Over the years I have used Microlife blood pressure monitors. Oh well...
Be sure to have its accuracy checked out. If you don't have a visit to the doctor planned, just stop by a Fire Station and have one of them tell you what your blood pressure is then check it with your machine to see if it is close.

Thanks for the advice HoseCrusher... I'm certainly going to have it checked because although not at my optimal yet, according to the ReliOn, I'm still down over 10 points both high/low as opposed to Friday and since temporarily discontinuing the Escitalopram the past two mornings. 123/81 so going to not take it again tmrw morning and re-check BP in the evening.HoseCrusher wrote:Oh well...

An interesting exercise is to track the variations in your blood pressure throughout the day. Take it every 2 hours while you are awake. After a couple of days you can see some interesting trends.
