Both have needed to come out for many yrs... i'll keep you all posted with both outcomes.
Question,
Would you be able to use your CPAP on 12 CM immediately after the tonsils and adenoids surgery?
I honestly don't know, but I will def ask that questions. My Sleep Dr called me today but i was not home, she said my sleep study looked fine however she wants to start me on Stimulants.. Reading up on it, I don't want that. The surgeon and the nurse I seen Fri for my pre-op said this surgery is going to make a big difference with my breathing and sleep apnea, so I am hoping I won't need pills.
Updates will come soon.

I am day 13 Post op.. Tonsils and Adenoids are out.. Everything went well, no pain since day 7... The surgeon told me not to use the CPAP for atleast a week he didn't want any pressure on the back of my throat. Well now I am almost 2 weeks out, and I still haven't used it. More so afraid the pressure is going to be to high. I breathe sooooo much better now, I even find myself sleeping through the night, dreaming a lot, and my sister who's been sleeping in my room with the AC said I haven't been snoring.
Im going to hopefully get in touch with my sleep Dr thur or fri shes not easy to get in touch with, and see what she wants me to do about the pressure...
Just wanted to update

Hi,
I've been reading your story on occasion. It looks like you got surgery and it went well and your sleep is getting better without CPAP?
Great story. I hope you keep feeling better.

I am sleeping fine now without CPAP but I can tell I need it, been 2 weeks without my machine, and during the day and at night I feel exhausted, Yes I am still recovering so I am not myself, and always low on energy, but I can still feel a difference not using my machine... The only good thing, is I dont snore without the machine now, and I sleep most of the night without waking up.. Huge improvement wish my Dr would have taken my tonsils and and adenoids out years ago.

Sometimes cpap machines can only do so much. I suggest a program of weight loss, moderate exercise, maybe yoga/meditation, plus I'd try to develop new positive way of thinking about life. Maybe you're just addicted to napping because it helps you escape from the 'real' world. I'm not trying to be hurtful with this advice. I have a sincere compassion for you, but please consider what I'm recommending.
I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

That's what psychiatrists told people with narcolepsy before it was recognized as a neurological condition . That's a slippery slope that results in victim blaming.

I never take naps... so that doesn't apply to me. I think very positive in life where have a said I don't??? Sleep Apnea has nothing to do with not having a positive outlook on life, so I am slightly confused with what you are recommending??

I was only having issues with being more tired lately, not being I am lazy or anything else I work a lot, no time for napping... Now that my tonsils and adenoids are gone, its going to help the sleep apnea, won't take it away but its def going to improve it, and if all else fails i will try the meds like my dr suggested.

Talked to my DR FINALLY!! Now that my tonsils and adenoids are out, my pressure is on 9 and y AHI has been around 2 everyday... so she wants me to keep it at 9, and make an appt to see her in Sept so she can read the data from my machine... and basically she said no meds, just gonna have me deal with the tiredness... As long as its not affecting me in everyday life, such as driving and so on then there is no reason for stimulants... I'll see what happens in sept...
