I'm thinking about getting a auto adjust machine. I have been eyeing the S9 AutoSet for some time and am now ready to buy but I see that there is also a machine from DeVilbiss (IntelliPAP AutoAdjust) and a new machine from Respironics (PR System One REMStar 60 Series Auto).
Before I buy the S9 are strong opinions supporting either of these other two? Is the S9 a safe bet?
Many Thanks!

Re: Auto machine recommendation
I have used both ResMed S9 VPAP Auto and PR S1 Bipap Auto recently and prior to that the PR S1 APAP and way before that the M Series APAP.
I happen to like both brands pretty much equally. Both would serve you well. There are some differences in the algorithms that a few people might like one over the other but I think most people would do well with either.
Some minor pros and cons to both.
That said....there are some unhappy S9 users..might want to read this thread. The noise they talk about...I don't hear and neither do a lot of other people

If you are paying out of pocket....get the Respironics...much less expensive $650 for machine, humidifier and gear.

Re: Auto machine recommendation
Thanks Pugsy. Seems there are noise complaints on both. Thanks for the link.
About a year ago my wife packed my MSeries with water in the humidifier. Still works but ever since the motor is louder on the exhale. My wife and I are heavy sleepers so it doesnt bother us.
I am sure either of these two will be quieter that what I have.
My employer will pay for either.
Still leanin towads ths S9. Sounds like its easier to get the data off which I occasionally like to do.

Re: Auto machine recommendation
If you want to access the data on the machine and not use software very often then yes the Autoset is the way to go.
Just have to remember to check it prior to noon because that is the beginning of the machines new day and the machine resets the daily info to zero. Data is still available by changing dates but takes a bit more work.
SD card must be in the machine to get hi def detailed data...so remember to put it back when done with it.
I imagine you will be happy with either. EPR is kinda nice if you like that sort of thing (I do) and it is different from Flex relief but easy to adjust to.

Re: Auto machine recommendation
I switched to the Intellipap Autoadjust last fall after almost 10 years using Respironics machines. The last Respironics machine I had was the PR System One Auto with A-Flex.
I find the Intellipap Autoadjust to be a great machine - excellent therapy and very low noise level. I can't really hear it when I am geared up and in bed for the night. I like the look of it too but excellent therapy and very low noise are the features I like best about it. The Intellipap has the best warrenty in the industry that I know of.
I have never tried a Resmed machine so can't comment on that.
