Hi everyone,
I started to use my ASV device about 9 months ago last September, it took me about until December to start feeling better which I understand is normal. However, I am now experiencing the same symptoms that I started with, waking up very fatigued and feeling lethargic throughout the day. Before I I got the ASV device I would experience this up and down in my symptoms which hit me very hard in the spring and throughout the summer, but I figured this was just because of my allergies. I'm puzzled this spring because I am using the ASV every night and feel like I've controlled my allergies. I take allegra every day, I have been getting allergy shots for 1 year now, and I use saline rinse before bed and nasonex. I also have looked at my leak rates and it is consistently 0. I just don't know what is going on, to me it doesn't make sense, I've sent my SD card in to the doctor so they can have a look, but I'm questioning that they will find anything. I don't have sleep apnea, I have UARS so I don't have apneas even without the machine. Right now I'm beginning to question even if this breathing issue is my main problem or if there is something else going on. I'm not sure what I'm looking to hear posting this but maybe someone has had a similar experience.
Thanks.

Re: Allergies?
Hi - Despite low leak rates which, if a leak is actually very large, may not register at all on a machine, are you certain that while you're asleep you don't begin mouth breathing - and losing therapy to the breeze - like so many of us who've since gone to full face masks, and/or chin straps (which aren't as effective), or at least taping as a trial?

Hi Julie,
Thanks for the response, I use the PAPcap and I also tape my mouth shut every night so I am fairly certain that I'm not losing air through the mouth.
