So I've been going with SleepyHead and I like the layout of the data and the ease of use BUT as per my other thread, am now concerned about a "bug" that has shown up for me regarding data discrepancies between two computers.
Tried EncoreBasic, and yea it is really "basic" and rather confusing. Don't really like it at all.
Are there any other software options that would be worth trying?
Thanks

Re: EncoreBasic & SleepyHead - any other options?
You could try Encore Viewer 2.0 and/or ENcore Pro but the reports are identical to EncoreBasic and Viewer doesn't do waveform that Basic does. If you don't care for Basic's reports you won't like the other Encore versions either because they are unchanged.
No other choices.. until we had SLeepyHead Encore whatever version was our only option.

Would ReScan work or no?

Re: EncoreBasic & SleepyHead - any other options?
ResScan is only for use with ResMed machines. Zero help to a Respironics user. It is the same with any other brand. Only with SleepyHead have we been able to use other brands.
All other software only works within the brand it was designed for.
For Respironics machines....you have the 2 choices or I forgot you could use Onkor online analyzer. More work to get each night of data and visually different. Helpful if your computer OS is something odd and won't allow the install of the standard software.
Look in my signature line for examples and a link to Onkor if it is still active.

Thanks Pugsy. I guess I will just stick with SleepyHead and hope for the bugs to get squashed that I encountered. I really do like it's layout and reporting.

Re: EncoreBasic & SleepyHead - any other options?
SleepyHead is Beta software (and first Beta version at that) and it is not perfect but as you have found...even with a few bugs it is superior to Encore.
Your problem is unique and you are the first to pose the weird 3 days only double event thing only.. That is going to be much harder to isolate a cause since even you are not experiencing it nightly. A year ago SleepyHead was just a twinkle in Mark's eyes and for one man to come so far with it in a year is amazing. Respironics with all its software people take a long time just to do a modest version update to the already base software. Like they plan to redo Viewer 2.0 this summer with anticipated release this coming winter and historically...they have always taken longer to release new versions.
Also remember that the man who created SH is also a sleep apnea person who was also fighting suboptimal therapy when writing SleepyHead....and then he had a bunch of us reporting this bug and that bug and also wanting this feature and that feature and he tried to accommodate us as much as he could.
We just need to be patient with regards to Mark feeling up to tackling coding again and he gets these issues sorted out.

Wow, I didn't even realize that the "SleepyHead" Software was that new in development. I should have read up more on it as I just assumed when glancing at the version releases on the download page that it had been out for several years. I do appreciated Mark's work on this, don't get me wrong.

Re: EncoreBasic & SleepyHead - any other options?
Yep, SH is actually an infant in terms of software age. Originally Mark wanted something else to evaluate the data from his PR S1 machine besides the Encore software which Viewer lacked wave form and Pro was PITA to get and use. So he did it all and then added ResMed, F & P and Devilbiss support as well...then added oximetery and Zeo. So he has had a large number of irons in the fire to try to work on. Then he also had the Mac version going. None of the other software products offer a Mac version. If someone had a Mac there only choice was to use a Windows environment like Boot Camp or Parallels. If one really sits back and takes a look at all he has accomplished...I find it amazing and happily live with the few annoying bugs.
What you missed this passed year was knowing that he worked on SH with daily headaches and I saw his reports...less than optimal therapy and a constant brain fog. He didn't take good care of himself and he should have. So when he needed a break from coding not long ago I wasn't surprised. He is working on the bugs but we have been spoiled with the "immediate" fixes in the past and tend to be impatient. As SH has gotten more complicated it simply takes longer to sort through the bugs and I for sure want Mark to put himself first and not SH development. Without Mark there would be no SleepyHead at all.
