S8 AutoSet software question

I just downloaded ResScan 3.16 for my S8 Autoset II. Have the correct card reader, Won't recognize my card reader or let me load my data. I for the life of me don't understand ResScan's software numbering system, and it seems no one else does, either. Does ResScan have a new, expensive, proprietary, random-generating software-numbering system the ROW hasn't come to embrace? Please help me here. What version works for my S8?

I'm running ResScan 3.10 w/my S8 VPAP Auto and card reader. I just haven't gotten around to installing 3.14 and hadn't even checked lately to realize that there was a 3.16

What kind of messages are you getting?

Are you putting the smart card in the reader with the gold square facing up? It's easy to confuse it and put it upside down. The version you're using should be fine.

I assume you specifically told ResScan during the install that you did indeed want the card reader driver software installed??? It is a choice and not by default with version 3.16. ResScan software is backwards compatible with the older machines.
Are you using the ResMed brand card reader?

Gold square is up in the reader. Drivers, I'm not sure. I will uninstall and re-install 3.16 and let you all know.
