Craig,

Don't.

Most of the people - if not all - who reacted badly to you scents link were not even around when you made all your helpful contributions.

It makes me very sad to think you feel so bad you asked to have all your posts removed. It means no other person, looking at old messages, will find them. Board posting is human communication, with lots of potential for misunderstanding. We all need tolerance for misunderstandings. And sometime even for spite.

Some people browse boards without registering or posting. I was a lurker before I decided to join - and learned a lot, about cpap, and about members, from old posts. I am sure that many have read your older suggestions, employed them, and gone happily on their way. Please reconsider your decision - and think of the people who appreciated your posts and told you, and also of the many others who read, or will read them silently, never joined, never said a word, but did use your suggestions.

One can't really tell a person how to feel, but I do wish you wouldn't feel so hurt. You're a valued contributor, and of more than the map.

O.

Craig,

I agree with everything that ozij said. Please reconsider your decision.
I think to a lot of us this is like one big "family" (that keeps growing larger). Even in families there are arguments and things that are said that cause hurt feelings at times......but we try to go on and get past those situations.

Please stick around......you're needed here.

Best wishes,

STAY !

Post by Ric » Wed Mar 29, 2006 10:08 pm

Craig,

STAY !

I have just re-read all 39 of your posts, and I am reminded that you are a valuable member of this forum. Please reconsider.

You went to considerable effort to make the website regarding something that caught your interest and thought might resonate with this crowd. It doesn't bother me that money is exchanged sometimes somewhere. I am reminded that cheek pads, heated hoses, and even stuff from cpap.com is promoted here, unashamedly. At least you were up front about the whole matter.

That is in complete contrast to the REAL spam, the hit and run bots that contribute nothing to the forum and just toss their trashy ads in here like we were some downtown street corner, hoping that someone will accidently push the button and earn them a nickel. That is what is/was ruining the channel. Now THAT bothers me. I praise Johnny and Ted and the others for their diligence. Forgive us for having a finger on the trigger.

With regards to the last 4 posts, I say DITTO, DITTO, DITTO, and DITTO.

He who dies with the most masks wins.

Craig,
To be clear, I did not intend my post to put forth, in any manner, that your only value to this forum was the map. I was complimenting the map. As Ozij, and others, have said, all members are valued. I would hope you'd reconsider, however, if not, take care.

Craig,

I ain't been around long enough to have read any of your posts, so I don't know anything about this controversy, but I will say that I think the map is a great thing. I'm glad you waited for someone to take it over instead of just dumping it.

From the previous posts on this thread is sounds like you will me missed by many.

I think we all should post a pin on the map.

I must have missed this whole issue, but if someone could fill me in, or supply me with a link to what happened, I'd really appreciate it. Sounds like Craig was insulted pretty badly and is taking it to heart.

If that's the case, Craig, can I suggest you listen to these good people who are telling you to stay and brush the dirt off your shoulder? Sounds like you're good people and many don't want to see leave here. Sometimes people can be heartless, but there are always many others here that are just the opposite and are worth sticking it out for. I must say, my curiosity is definitely aroused.

Craig has graciously said he would assist me if and when I needed help.
