Very attractive headboard, Boomer.

Yardbird, what do you mean by "floating night tables?"

I would like to have adjustable shelves so as needs change, the heighth of the shelves could be adjusted. At the present time, we are using low tech cardboard boxes. However, our headboard is hi tech with many unusual features.

"Floating" means that visually, it looks like there's nothing under them. The design I am thinking about will attach to the side of the headboard and will touch the floor only against its back (against the wall) and would almost look more like a continuation of the headboard rather than a stand-alone unit.

I'm sure I could design something with adjustable shelves, but most people pretty much set them once and then leave them alone. At least that's been my experience with adjustable shelves. I make them adjustable, people put them where they want them, and then they never adjust them again. So it's almost more like a set-up conveneince.

A "floating" shelf has no visible means of support.
