HYPOPNEA
HYPOPNEA
As a newbie into my third week of cpap , I am learning to read the data , I seem to be having 6 to 10 hypopnea events a night ,Is this normal or do there need to be some adjusting in pressure ? I'm am currently set at 8 .
Re: HYPOPNEA
6 to 10 a night means that you have less than 2 per hour...that is very acceptable.

Re: HYPOPNEA
I'm new, too. But I have been reading a lot of threads that - besides your numbers - ask yourself how you feel. If you don't feel "great" you might consider a bit higher pressure, even tho your numbers are good. Someone a lot more experienced can probably comment on this with more detail.

Re: HYPOPNEA
When reporting a "total" number of whatever events for the "night"..it is helpful to know how many hours the machine was being used.
Hyponea of 6 to 10 total for the night with 6 to 8 hours of use on the machine isn't much of a big deal.
Now if you only had 2 or 3 hours on the machine..might be a whole different story.
Also...look at the event graphs themselves...are they all lumped together in a couple of clusters or are they spread out randomly over the night.
