Need information on contour pillows

Post by Gabe » Fri Apr 20, 2012 7:03 am

Can someone give me information on where to get a good contour pillow with cutouts, instead of indentations in the pillow? Thanks. A place to get different varieties of pillows and pictures.

You might try buying a piece of foam material and make your own. Research Carbonman posts on his success...maybe he'll joint us.

Thanks, but I get it from the VA. No cost. I want to get a picture of a good one to show them. They order it from my DME.

Gabe:
I think this is the one you are thinking about:

Others may have the psyche pillow as well.

Thanks, chunkyfrog I was thinking of a pillow with a combination of round cut-outs & indentations. I had the link that someone put on the forum, but I lost it.

Thanks, again. I saw that one and printed it. The one I saw had a hole in the middle and indentations around it. This will keep you busy, chunkyfrog.

Hi, 1st let me say Thank You for your service....I'm 100% C&T Vet..I use Buffalo VA...My Dr said VA won't get me pillow...I've been in VA system 30 yrs...I've used 7 differant VA locations and find that each area has own budget and some places I can get equipment whereas in others I can't....I'm going to have to advocate for a pillow...You are 3rd Vet I've read here in last week where Vet has gotten pillow from VA....Good luck on your pillow search...I've been research a good one too.

Thank you for your service, also Avmo. The DME that the VA uses here SUCKS. Google what chunkyfrog says above. It has a variety of pillows. I have a hassle to get things. You have to keep after them. I've been in the system since 1956. The talk is that they are going to get rid of this DME. I can't wait, but you know how slow the VA works. I go back and forth, a lot, between the DME and the VA, before things get done. It's hard to get to the doctor. The secretary in the pulmonary office is a God send. She works for the veteran.
