I have been fiddling with the fit of my new Quattro FX mask, and no matter what I do this mask will "pulse" or maybe "flex" is the better word, when I inhale. I want to say it's mostly the soft membrane. Do I have it too tight, too loose, or is just the way this mask acts?
Thanks for any and all advice!
Does the Quattro FX "pulse"?
Re: Does the Quattro FX "pulse"?
Do you mean the Mirage Nasal FX that you show in your profile OR the Quattro FX Full Face Mask?

Re: Does the Quattro FX "pulse"?
Sorry, I meant the Quattro FX Full Face Mask. And to clarify, the mask was flexing at then end of the inhalation (the membrane flexing in?), and at the begninning of the exhalation (popping back out).

Re: Does the Quattro FX "pulse"?
Did you have it connected to the machine with reasonable pressure (like 5 cm or more)? If you are just wearing it, you might be hearing the flippy-flappy valve in the elbow that connects to the mask. Mine, under normal operating conditions does not "pulse". Sometimes, when starting or stopping use as pressure builds or declines, I might hear that flippy-flappy valve make a flippy-flappy noise (flutter click type noise)

Re: Does the Quattro FX "pulse"?
Mine did the same thing, then in the wee hours of the morning it would start to leak. I just tightened it and it seem to have stop the leaking and took some of the flex out of it. It still does flex when I first put it on due to the fact that I am breathing deeper then I do once I relax into sleep mode. I have a ramp on my machine that will stop most of it as well, which to me means it is a pressure thing. I have come to like my Quatrro FX and think it will be part of my long term solution. Hope that helps.
