Where do you put the hose for comfort?

I've been using the Swift LT for Her for 2-1/2 years and just switched to the Swift FX for Her only because my doctor recommend I try it since it's newer equipment. I just can't seem to get the hang of it. After being used to clipping the hose over my head and out of the way with the LT, I don't know where to put the hose when using the FX. If it lays to my side, the weight of the hose pulls on the mask, and when I turn over, I have to pull on the hose to get it to go with me - all of which means I wake up. Then I tried to just put the hose on my pillow so that it goes down the back of the bed. Still the weight is too heavy, so when I move I have to pull on the hose to loosen up the connection. It just seems to be more trouble than it's worth. Does anyone have any suggestions?

When I use my FX, I also wear my PapCap chinstrap. The PapCap is.. well.. a cap that you put on your hair which has a velcro piece on either side, then the chinstrap attaches to the cap part, making a really comfy chinstrap. With this PapCap you get a velcro strip that goes through a loop at the top of the cap part, so you can put your FX tubing up there, just like with the LT.

I have used my FX without the PapCap and it's OK, but getting it out of the way above my head is much better.

I have used the Swift LT and now the Swift FX.. I never liked the LT routed over my head so haven't had that issue. You might try to find something like a piece of velcro to add to the top strap on the FX to allow securing the hose over your head. A figure 8 wrap with even a piece of fabric or shoe string should hold it in place.
There is no reason that you can't attach the hose to that top strap if you want to. The swivel thing allows for any routing that you wish.
You might also just try routing the entire hose over your head with a hose management system.
There are tons out there to buy and easy to make something DIY if you want to.
Something similar to this maybe.

Ditto on the Hose Hanger.

When I use the FX or LT, I use a small piece of tape to keep the elbow oriented "up" and then attach it to a hose hanger. Works great.

Really easy to use and works great - takes a lot of the hose weight off. But I found after a few nights, my Swift FX for Her was fitting better somehow or maybe I was just tossing and turning less and my mask seems to stay put more even without the hose hanger. So, my hose is now just behind my headboard and that seems to work just fine.

I just lay mine down beside my head pointing up toward the headboard and close to the pillow. Doesn't pull on the mask and works fine.

Hose hanger. Home made.
After waking up the first two nights with the FX flexi tube under my shoulder, I figured I'd better hang it before I destroyed it.
Swivel plant hangers on the wall. fishing pole tips duck-taped to the hangers.
We hang whatever from whichever rings are in the best positions.
Lots of give, and bounce--holds it up very well;
and the silhouette on the shade looks really weird from outside the house.

I hang mine from a velcro loop that has a pinch clip on the end, the velcro loop is attached to the iron headboard and the clip attaches to my hose cozy.

How about a flip answer? Hooked up between the CPAP machine and my mask . Actually it hangs off the side of the bed to my blower on the night stand.

To msla: haha... but my problem is that when the hose hangs down the side of the bed, it's heavy and pulls on the mask. So that doesn't work for me.

I am one of the lucky ones and am not affected by many of the things that bother many of the people on the board. Do you use the "slim-line" hose? I have noticed that it is much more flexible and lighter.

I went back to the LT for that very reason.

When the hose is routed up over the head, I can always find a way to rig up a way to get the hose completely out of the picture. At home, I have a headboard that allows the hose to go through it. With hotel glued-to-the-wall headboards, I make a loop with my belt and wedge it behind the board to make a make-shift hanger. If there is no headboard, I have used the lampshade on the hotel side table. Routing directly overhead with the LT has worked out best for me in all situations, so I guess that is the mask for me for life.

I'm a side sleeper and I just got used to having the hose in front of me. Just like your blanket, when you roll from one side to the other, you fix them in your sleep.
