This worked like a charm for me! Thanks so muchb360155 wrote:One thing that I've found that helps me get a good seal with the Quattro FX is to put a finger on the front of the mask between the elbow and the vent holes and apply light pressure before turning the machine on. Then turn the machine on, and slowly pull your finger away from the mask. For me, it seems that helps inflate the outer seal evenly so you get that so-called "floating on air" sensation with a good tight seal. If I don't do that and turn the machine on, I will often get a leak from the top of the mask as I think the air pressure blows out the top before it gets a good chance to seal around the bridge of my nose.

I loosened my top straps last night and wow, what a difference! I did not have to way up and keep pulling the mask down as it leaked and became noisy. Thanks for the great info!

I am still having trouble with my mask riding up at night. Peter G, I am not sure I get what you are suggesting. Please explain. Thankstrying a piece of elastic under my chin and around the lower straps, loosely wrapped around itself to knot. such that it falls off when I take the mask off.

a piece of shorts/underwear elasstic around 3/4 inch wide from fabric shop , that is passed under the chin, through the lower straps (with the clips on them), back around and looped over itself 3 times like the beginning of a shoe knot, tightened firm but not tight. it pulls those lower straps down and stops riding up of the FFM up the bridge of the nose, where my leaks are. when I release the chin straps the elastic falls away, so its not very tight. I could probably work on strap adjustments and dispense with this trick, but it works, is easy and confortable and cheap.Corkster52 wrote:I am still having trouble with my mask riding up at night. I really want to use Quattro FX. It is so small, seems so perfect for me. I've just received it yesterday and could not manage leaks in the nose bridge area. The "flap" between harder silicone seems to be too big for me and it bends = huge leaks. I am going to try your advices this night, I hope it will help because I really want to use this mask.

Peterg, the elastic idea works great, but I wish I could just figure out a way to clip something on instead of tucking and wrapping each night....but it sure beats the leaks!
