Forgotten SD card for my S9

Post by hades161 » Mon Feb 27, 2012 11:12 am

So last night I was reviewing my data and playing around with both Sleepyhead and ResScan. I had pulled my SD card out to get my data and set it on my desk after I had downloaded the data and removed it from my SD reader. I spent a bit of time before bed going over the forums and chatting with people and then went to bed. I woke up this morning feeling great and so I looked at my AHI and it was a 0.1 and the Green Smily leak face was there so I thought awesome that was a really good night ! So I get up make my morning coffee sit down at my desk to check my emails, look over the forums, check Facebook, and whatever else I needed to do this morning.

That's when I see my SD card for my S9 sitting right where I left it last night DoH ! So I put it back into my S9 and all seems well. I do wonder though at what settings without the card in that the S9 used last night, I imagine it kept my normal settings regardless as I felt nothing really different when I went to bed. So its only the loss of data for one night, I think

You didn't lose any data, the sd card will read the missed night as well as tonight.
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

Sorry Nan, but I gotta contradict you.

You do lose the more detailed data actually. The S9 can't record the high resolution flow to the internal memory. However all the averaged nightly information will still be available.

The settings aren't normally stored on the card, except when the doctor (or you) use the option to change them from the software so you will still have had normal treatment.

I change my setting via the control panel on the unit. =) I just shared this cause I thought it was funny. I wasn't to worried about it ether way but its good know if I forget again or if someone else does, how the the machine reacts to a missing card.

Been there, done that. More than once. I had two cards for a while so I could always keep one in the S9, and that helped. But the second one died, and I never got around to replacing it. Having another card wouldn't have helped much the night before last, though. I erased all data with the card still in the machine.

Hey Otter, Where have you been? Glad to see you back, I was kinda worried.

I did the same thing but worse last night. Went to pull the card out and realized it wasn't pushed all the way in. Guess I got distracted... Who knows.

As others have said you will still have your summary data.

The S9 could use a "warning SD card missing" on its display when it gets turned on. I sure many S9 users have forgotten to re-insert the card for the night.

It actually does have that, but it only shows up if the card is out on boot. It would be a lot more useful if it warned us the first time we tried to fire up the blower with the card out.

I've just been too tired to keep up with things. The quality of my sleep has improved vastly, but I'm still struggling with quantity, and so I'm way behind on everything. I do seem to be headed in the right direction, but very slowly.
