I don't doubt that. The way points are figured is a formula between fat, fiber, protein and carbs. Carbs and fats raise the point value while protein and fiber lower the point value. What is encouraged though is health. Complex carbs like fruits and vegetables are encouraged. I tend myself to go to sweet potatoes versus white potatoes, brown rice vs. white rice (carbs are equal, white rice is slightly lower in calories but because brown rice is significantly higher in fiber, it gets a better point value to some extent), whole wheat bread versus white bread, etc.
