Help!! I created a monster

Post by snoozin' » Wed Feb 02, 2005 7:36 am

I have two cats. Cats, at least mine, love to watch water flowing. They'll run into the walls trying to get into the bathroom to sit on the tub and watch the water go down the drain when you pull the plug. Anyway, last night I made the mistake of filling my humidifier while they were in the room. They heard the water and ran over to watch. They could see the water pouring in and rolling around through the clear plastic, and were much entertained. I thought it was cute, last night. This morning, while I was dressing, I heard my machine turn on. Surprised, I walked over to look. One of the cats was sitting on top, watching the water in the humidifier ripple as the air blew across it. Well, I yelled at him and turned the machine off. But now they know how to do this. How much you want to bet, whenever they get bored with their toys, they'll play with mine? And how do I explain to the RT that all those hours of non-compliance on the smart card aren't really non-complience, they're just the cats playing? Wasn't it so nice and thoughtful of me to go to all this trouble to supply the cats with a new toy?
Have fun, and if anyone wants a cat or two, just let me know.

Be real nice to them....buy them a fish tank. Compared to a fish tank, your water tank would be a bore!

I tried that once - the white cat thought the fish made a great snack.

I love cats. They taste like chicken.

I'd be careful, if they start playing with the thing, it could lead to CATastrophe.

Liam, who (let's face it) can't resist a good pun. Or even a bad one.
