New mask makes me sleep better?

Post by Guest » Fri Feb 10, 2012 10:20 am

Hi group, been awhile since I have posted something.
I bought a new mask last week ResMed swift fx
It seems like I am sleeping better (more rested)
Also looks like my apap is lower in numbers, Like 10.4 instead of 11.2
I had no mask leak before and felt good after my nights sleep
I just feel better rested now
Could a mask do this?
Does this sound crazy??

Thanks Bryan

Yes, I think it is possible. I have always used the Swift FX for her. My husband tried many masks before settling on a full face mask. He sleeps better and feels more rested with this mask.

Sure it is possible. Sometimes a rather small change (in the grand scheme of things) can make a huge difference in how well we sleep and thus how we feel.

Masks that are less "irritating" for whatever reason and we don't wake up often fiddling with it for whatever reason...are going to let us sleep without so many awakenings and we can sure notice the difference.

Good, I am not crazy.
Well, maybe a little
Well, I am real happy with the way I am feeling.
I also am very happy with my S9
I thought about buying another (maybe different) machine.
With the new mask why bother

Thanks for the input, I appreciate it

Bryan

Well, another better? nights sleep.
I reset and here are my new numbers
13.6 pressure
leak 1.2 l min
AHI 1.9
Total AI 1.1
Central AI 0.0

I like what I feel and the numbers look good?
Any commits?

Thanks Bryan

Your numbers are great. More importantly you say you are happy with how you feel. Low AHI doesn't guarantee feeling great but it sure is nice when it does happen. Looks like you are on the right track.
