S9 Autoset question

Post by newname » Sat Feb 11, 2012 9:16 am

Can you see what pressure you slept at the previous night just by looking at a menu on the screen the next morning? I'm still new to this machine's capabilities.

no.

There is an "extra data" option you can get by pressing both rectangle buttons for a few seconds and then an extra item shows up in the menu. Also "last night" is noon yesterday to noon today so if you look at it a 1:30pm, you can't get last night's data.

Yes just press the info button when you get up and you will see some basic info. I appologize if I can't give detailed info but my wife and I are both sick with bad colds and I am letting her sleep so I am doing this from a foggy memory. First press and hold both the "Setup" button and the "Push Dial" for about 3 seconds. If you want to see detailed data rotate the Push Dial knob until you see the second field on the left highlighted, I forget what it is called, may be something like "sleep report" . This will give you all the "detailed" data. If you push down on the push dial it will allow you to change the viewing of the data from 1 day, to 1 week or 1 month if I recall correctly. You can also remove the SD card in the back of the machine and view the data on your computer with "SleepyHead" software.

Hope this helps

Dale

The instructions Dale gave also work but they put it into a mode where you can change settings. Just pressing the info and setup button (the two rectangular ones) gives you a mode where you can't change anything but just look at the data.

As -tim says above, you press the two rectangular buttons ("info" and "set up") and hold them, you will get your results screen. If you were using apap, you'll see your average pressure for the night. The same screen also shows leak rate and AHI breakdown.

Actually the pressure number is your 95% pressure setting: Your pressure was AT or BELOW this number for 95% of the entire night. And your pressure was AT or ABOVE this number for 5% of the night. Same thing with the LCD's leak rate number: It's the 95% leak rate. Your unintentional leak rate was AT or BELOW this number for 95% of the night and your unintentional leak rate was AT or ABOVE this number for 5% of the night.

And how long is 5% of the night? Well, 5% of one hour is three minutes. So you can get a good idea of how long your pressure or leak was ABOVE the number shown on the LCD by multiplying the usage hours by three minutes. For example, if you used the machine for 7.3 hours, then 5% of the night is:

(7.3 hours)*(3 minutes/hour)=21.9 minutes of the night.

Thanks for clarifying that, Robysue.

I think you need to set "Sleep Quality" to "on" in the clinician's menu as well.
