F&P Forma - High Pressure & Sizing

Post by Namlehse » Mon Feb 06, 2012 10:08 am

I'm wanting to see if anyone used the Forma with a higher pressure to see how it holds up? I'm currently using a QuattroFX and it is iffy. I'm currently using an APAP Pressure range of 12-18, moving to 13-18 tonight. My 95% tends to be low to mid 13's with spikes to 14. If for some reason I roll onto my back it will quickly move up towards the 18 mark however.

So my question is, how does the Forma stand up to cm of 14, possibly up to 18? Also how does it run sizing? I tend to wear small masks (Ultra Mirage, QuatroFX, so on. So would I want a small in this as well, or would I be shooting for a Medium?

Thanks!

Hi - two things... the first is that for just about all of us, AHI's go up if we sleep on our backs, so we do everything we can to not sleep that way. The second thing is that there is no way someone here can say how a certain size of a certain mask will fit your face, whether or not you're asleep, or in one position vs another... you have to try masks yourself, but in general a full face mask holds better at higher pressures than a nasal one would, though again it does depend on you and your sleep habits.
