Remstar Auto needs new home
Now that I have retired my Intellipap travel Auto to backup status, I have my original backup that needs a home.
It is a Remstar Auto with C-Flex that has 1581.3 hours on it, still runs quiet, has heated humidifier with new tank,
Encore pro software CD, all manuals and I have a new spare hose and several masks I never used I will throw in too.
Non smoker house so it doesn't smell.
$50.00 takes all, including shipping in the USA.
PM me if interested.

Re: Remstar Auto needs new home
Hello, I've only been on bipap for a month and a half but want a backup unit. My pressure Rx is 19/15. Is this machine strictly cpap or will it work for my prescription? Also, can this machine be run on DC? Thanks

Additional Comments: Rx pressure is 20/16, Use papcap w/chinstrap and tape. Sleep number bed and Sobakawa pillow. Also use Swift FX & Quattro FX as required. |
Re: Remstar Auto needs new home
The machine is APAP and it won't do the BiPap settings you need. It will do either straight cpap or variable auto pressures but still only one pressure. It can't do 2 different pressures at one time like your BiPap can.SleepingDVader wrote:Hello, I've only been on bipap for a month and a half but want a backup unit. My pressure Rx is 19/15. Unsure about the DC part. I never have had the need to study up on it.
I believe this is the machine here....hmmm they say DC okay...https://www.cpap.com/cpap-machine/respi ... cflex.html

Re: Remstar Auto needs new home
The machine mentioned is an Autopap... not a BiPAP/Bi-level.SleepingDVader wrote:Hello, I've only been on bipap for a month and a half but want a backup unit. My pressure Rx is 19/15. Is this machine strictly cpap or will it work for my prescription? Also, can this machine be run on DC? Thanks
Re: Remstar Auto needs new home
afaik - ALL Respironics machines can be run on straight DC without the need for any kind of pricey proprietary converter.SleepingDVader wrote:Also, can this machine be run on DC?

I have no doubt, how I sleep affects every waking moment.
I am making progress-NOW I remember that I can't remember

If this isn’t rocket science why are there so many spaceshots?

Re: Remstar Auto needs new home
Remstar product page says it needs a separate cable and adaptor for DC operation. Not sure what a adaptor is that does that...

I am registered member. I thought there would be a PM link or something. Still can't find it.
Re: Remstar Auto needs new home
Philips Respironics REMstar CPAP/APAP machines - Blower and humidifier will run on 12V DC.
I think all the bilevel machines also do 12V, but am not 100% sure.
Respironics REMstar M series CPAP/APAP blower will run on 12VDC.
Newer units will run the humidifier on 12VDC, older ones require 120VAC for the humidifier.
Respironic REMstar Legacy Plus, Pro, and Auto machines run the blower off of 12 VDC. Heated humidifier is AC only.
At least some of the bilevel machines require 24 VDC for the blower. All heated humidifiers are AC only.
I'm not sure about older Respironics units.
All these 12V Respironics and Philips Respironics machines use the same DC connector. The adapter is only wiring, no fancy electronics.

Items are gone to first responder. Thanks everyone who were interested. Wish I had enough machines for everybody.
