I've heard pugs snore. Makes ya wonder if a dog can't have sleep apnea. Perhaps Sarge needs a cpap too.

Yeah, we joke about it. Still Sarge's snores don't compare to the first Pug I got some 20 odd years ago.
The breeders seem to be breeding more of the breed with less squished faces and less breathing problems.
Sarge is a typical Pug. Loves me to death. Follows me everywhere I go. Not the smartest little guy though. My husband says "lights are on but nobody is home" There's some truth to that.

I wonder that same thing about my dachshund's intelligence. Although I think Gypsy has selective intelligence. If its for a treat, she can figure it out asap, if it's something she doesn't want to do, well . . . I might be waiting a long time.

Sounds like one of mine. If there's a treat involved she's jumping at the chance to show me how smart and willing she is.
No treat on the other hand = "let me think about it, I'll get back to you at a latter date, I have a lot to do, look out the window, take a nap, figure out which couch I'm going to lay on, you know dog stuff, drop me text message some time"....

Mine don't snore, but seem to have restless paw syndrome and sleep barking issue's.

Mine doesn't snore either. That would be awful since she already gets up a couple of times every nite to flap her ears. You can't imagine how loud a dachshund's ears when flapping can be. I wonder sometimes if I should have named her Flapper instead of Gypsy, LOL. Of course, that's right up there with her rubbing her body along the bed. Why, I don't know and she's not telling. I'd worry about fleas but I've never seen one on her or been bit by one myself.

FWIW...yesterday afternoon I experimented to see if I could get the PR S1 to score snores when there was no chance of it being something related to an air flow sensor thing. I was able to duplicate some snores showing on the reports with and without the mask being on and I was just making various noises with the hose. Running fingernails along the hose...rubbing hose (no hose cozy) on the sheets. Didn't make a ton of them so not super sensitive but I did make a few. So possibly vibrations felt in the hose was what was scored. Definitely no chance of a reduction in air flow being the cause though.

Besides the coughing, that could well explain my "snores". I'm a tosser and turner and I don't have the hose secured so it probably moves constantly. I guess between that and throat clearing, I look like a snorer on my data.

I suspect having the little beast scratching, whipping his hears back and forth, etc. could also cause false snores as well.
