INSURANCE - SMART CARDS

Post by Sleeping With The Enemy » Tue Feb 01, 2005 9:02 pm

Just wondering if any online supply stores will actually deal with insurance. I don't really have the money to buy one upfront and be reimbursed by insurance.

Also, using c-flex - which machine is recommended so I can have access to my sleep information via smart card or whatever they come with???

The only website I know of that is accepting insurance is cpapforseniors.com and it does Medicare only.

The C-Flex machines that are downloadable are the Remstar Pro with C-Flex, Remstar Pro2, and the Remstar Auto C-Flex. All of these require a smart card reader. Be careful, as older Remstar Pro and Remstar Autos do not have C-Flex. Some websites are still selling these old ones as if they were the latest thing. Be careful.. CPAP.com labels products so there is no doubt what version they are offering. They seem to have the most up to date equipment, when I shop.

cpap.com will give you the codes on their receipt to file with your insurance.
Thats why they are so inexpensive. They don't get tied up with insurance paperwork.
