Try removing the silicone do-nut (gasket) altogether. Then, place the gasket on the humidifier tank, NOT all the way on, just enough so that it stays in place while you slide the tank into the heater platform all the way so that the gasket slides onto the cpap air outlet and seats itself properly between the cpap and the humidifier.

I have found that if the gasket is pushed too firmly onto either the cpap machine or the humidifier tank, it can be wonky and leak.

Rested Gal & Others With Stand Alone Humidifiers,

Do you get more noise from your cpap machines if you use the F&P stand alone humidifier rather than an attached humidifier?

The Respironics REMstar Autos sounded the same to me either way -- with integrated humidifier or using a separate F&P HC150 heated humidifier.

I don't have an integrated humidifier for my 420E. I use the separate F&P with it, so...dunno with that one.
