New last week and I honestly thought it was a perfect mask, no leaks, light touch to the face, perfect! The first morning I awoke with an extremely sore nose bridge. Second morning I discovered that it had chafed the skin off my nose about in the middle where the top of the inner nose cup seals. Now I'm walking around with a band-aid on my schnoz which is another thing I really don't want to have to do.
I'm puzzled as to why this is occurring. Any ideas? I like this mask and don't really want to exchange it for another model if I don't need to.
Thanks for the help!

Bayrat,
Sorry to hear you are having issues with the Easylife mask. I have used it for over 2 months now and have had no problems at all during that time. My gut feeling from what you described about the mask cutting into and/or leaving red marks on you nose is that you have the mask head gear way to tight. It's counter intuitive but the looser you can make it the better it will work and feel.
When I first got my mask from the DME they said to have the straps so loose that it feels like it is barely on your face. Then turn it on your machine and while lying down as you would while sleeping, check for any leaks. It is the inner nose piece that seals and prevents air leaks, not the outer piece that rests on your upper lip and forehead.
Try loosening up the straps to the point that it feels like it is too loose to even work. Then make very minor strap adjustments if necessary to stop any leaks. I have never had any marks or sore spots from the mask because of using this process. Give it a try

I tried it for a week but didn't find it comfortable. Liked the Mirage FX much better.

Thanks guys, I'll attempt one more adjustment but I can't use it until the bridge of my nose heals, it was bleeding this morning. I did as suggested with the straps but perhaps too tight on the top, not certain.

You can purchase nose-bridge covers that will protect the area. Also keep in mind that that mask may not be for you. There are dozens of full face masks that you may need to try. Resmed masks full face masks that have shallow nose areas or deep masks for folks with big honkers. They will mail you templates. I went thru several masks before I found mine. Don't hesitate to shop.
