Possibly losing data on cpap
Re: Possibly losing data on cpap
Thank you John.
I called a 2nd time "just to make sure" she got it right. Now, I wait and hope for the best.
Funny, I got her (same person) the second time too
Yes, I had the opportunity to change to an Resmed S9 like so many of you have, but I just felt that I'd stay with something I'm VERY familiar & comfortable with.
I'll post once I find out anything.
btw, as I've previously asked in this thread: Should I receive the good fortune of all things mirroring my imaginary perfect world what would be the new setting when I've had my setting at 9cm?

but don't hold your breath.
....and when you get that auto.....let's think of it as that chain saw.
I would suggest you start at 9cm-14cm.
........and just for the record...
I change my pressure sometimes....
......just because I can.
haaa haaaa haaaaaa haaaaaa ..........

Re: Possibly losing data on cpap
Carbonman - Speaking of chainsaw, I did "attempt" to increase my pressure from 9 to 9.5cm and my body stated negatory on the increase.
I could never seem to wear my mask for a full night. I woke up with it beside my face smiling at me the next morning.
Each of the five nights were from one to four hours of therapy.
All I could think to myself was, "You aint doing NOTHING for me laying there next to me like that!"
So, I took that as a sign of "no" and reset it to 9cm. One thing I find rather fascinating is when I do start using the auto, it will be interesting to find out what my average pressure will be.
Cracks me up on the latter of your post

Re: Possibly losing data on cpap
How about trying 8-12? If the pressure needs to increase you may be asleep and not notice it. One more thing, is "negatory" a real word?

@ Dori - Not sure Dori. For my world, it has always been a word I've used.
I never heard from Apria today. I consider this a good thing.
@ Carbonman - Keep it up on comments like those (your last post) dear, we may have to send the Apria folks in the little white coats to take you away, away, away and and restrict your cpap playtime. Bwahahaha!

Re: Possibly losing data on cpap
I had the same thing the other day...only one night though! On Encore it shows I downloaded the data with the date and the hours, but when I pull up the detailed there's nothing there for that particular night. When I went to put the card back in it didn't give me the usual "message" on the machine screen, took it back out, no beep upon removal...put it back in, still nothing. I then unplugged my machine, waited a few seconds and plugged it back in. Card beeped upon removal and so far the rest of my nights have been recording, but still do not have detailed data for that one night even though it shows on the opening page...very strange!! Just when I'm finally getting my numbers good and all things in order I sure hope the machine don't start messing up!

Don't just say "ResMed S9", say "S9 AutoSet" not "S9 Auto." There's an S9 Escape Auto that you do NOT!! want. It collects minimal data.
If it's manual CPAP, you want "S9 Elite," not "S9 Escape."
