Re: Wheezing, Asthma, Only Prednisone helps sleep
I want to add that I did a quick check on another thread and found that my deleted post had been restored there as well. I can't say for certain but it appears that all SPAMMED posts have been restored in all of OP's threads.
I was willing to attempt to give the OP the benefit of the doubt, saying they were just so ill and confused that they couldn't do any better. However, a systematic deletion of all posts that contradict the OP indicates mental capabilities far above someone who is so ill they can't function better.
My thanks to the administrators as well.

Re: Wheezing, Asthma, Only Prednisone helps sleep
So many kind people tried to help the OP.
I just want to reiterate (in case anyone STILL doesn't get it!) that an internet forum is NOT the place to seek medical advice. You have NO idea who is responding and giving advice and whether or not the information you get here is valid or not.
Around here we know CPAP machines and insurance and a fair bit about sleep apnea. But we are NOT doctors and are not endeavoring to give medical advice. We are a patient support group (much as I hate the word "patient" in this context). Nothing more. And we are a patient support group for sleep apnea. Nothing more.
If you have a medical issue, particularly something as potentially serious as a lung problem, consult your doctor, not us.

Re: Wheezing, Asthma, Only Prednisone helps sleep
I also have asthma. YES I AM UNDER DOCTOR'S CARE!! I live in the most corrupt state in the union when it comes to medical help. Pennsylvania.. (Pray for us) I am recently retired, not by choice. No one in my area wants to hire a 64 year old who has experience to bring to their table. Our state used to have a low income insurance supported by the Tobacco Companies law suits. We paid $36 a month for coverage. No prescriptions. But the copays were doable for docs and hospitals. Pa stopped this helpful insurance. So now I have no coverage till Set. 2012 when I turn 65. So since I cannot afford inhalers I use albuterol in a machine and prednisone for flair-ups . Albuterol liquid is 20 dollars a box of 50 and prednisone is 4 dollars. The problem I have with Prednisone is, it's like speed. It keeps me awake for the whole night sometimes 2 nights.
