What is the difference between C-Flex, and A-Flex
I did a site search and looked at CPAP definitions, but could not find anything.

Take a look here as to what Respironics says...though I will be honest it is not completely informative.
http://flexfamily.respironics.com/ upper right corner explains, in part, the differences. This is the most information I could ever find on the Flexes.
From layperson's view though...each Flex option and setting might feel a bit different so we usually say use whichever one feels best to you. Flex exhale relief is flow based exhale relief. If I exhale really forcefully and you exhale rather mildly.. flex at whatever setting is likely to "feel" different to each of us.

Thanks. They all sound the same to me...

Here is something I have seen when using Encore Pro 2 with my machine or in the menus on my machine
When my machine is in CPAP Mode the reports or menus say C-Flex
When my machine is in the APAP Auto Trial mode or the A-check mode the reports or menus say A-Flex
Other than that the feeling is exactly the same

Yeah they do to me too. That is why I said that their explanation isn't the clearest.NotSleepingBeauty wrote:Thanks. They all sound the same to me...
Best thing to do...just try each one and choose the one at the setting that suits you and don't worry about it. The differences are very minute anyway. I tried them all. I couldn't tell any difference with CFlex at all. With AFlex...I could "feel" a different rhythm...sort of like a setting of 3 was a bit to fast and setting of 1 was rather slow and setting of 2 felt like my normal breathing rhythm.
It all depends on your own breathing pattern though.
