SD9 Data card

Post by topster10 » Mon Jan 09, 2012 4:05 pm

My ResMed S9 data card hasn't recorded the last 5 nights of info. Card has a lot of free space and is unlocked. When I try software, it shows from Aug 2011 to Jan 5th and then "nothing". Machine says it is reading card when inserted, but that is it. Anyone had this problem before and I know I should call the clinic person, but want to find out if it is a common problem.

First thing I would suggest if you haven't already
Remove card from slot
unplug the machine from the electric outlet for about a minute. Plug back in and let the machine "reboot" like we do computers when they get cobwebs.
Put card back in slot.
See what happens with data tomorrow after tonight's data occurs

Second...get a new blank SD card and insert it into the machine and see what the machine writes to the new card (cheap generic SD card is fine).

If rebooting does not clear it up and a new SD card still shows absent data then a discussion with your machine supplier is in order.

What Pugsy said. But also I would check to make sure that Sleep Quality setting is set to "On" and not "Usage" in the Clinicians Menu. I have no idea how this setting could ever get changed on its own, but I would check it anyway.

Thanks for the help. Tried to read card again and it worked. Did nothing different. Must be electron gremlins. Past readings show
Apnea Ind =.3
Obstructive = 0.1
Central = 0.3
Hyponea = 0.2
AHI = 0.5
Are these decent readings and do they show I still need Cpap machine?

Thnaks again for any and all input...

Yes, these are very decent readings.

Yes, you still need to use the CPAP machine but you are lucky in that you don't need to change anything.
You are stuck using the machine until a better solution for treatment is found.

Sounds like it was a card reading issue. I assumed you had successfully read the card but had no data.

I could read the card because I could see size of unused and used space. I put card back in and let it read the card a copule of times and then all of a sudden, I could see all the data.
Thanks for evryones input.

Great place for info, better than my docs nurses...
