my memory is so terrible I can't even remember that one sea vegetable that's high in iodine
All of the above will help a HEALTHY person stay that way. Non healthy persons need to see a doctor.

My grandma had a goiter; and I don't think my blood panels ever include thyroid.
Guess I need to leave a voice mail with the nurse.

if you eat a lot of kelp for a month is it really going to help or maybe mess up your hormones?

are there any other good iodine sources for your thyroid like mussels maybe or mackerel?
TSH is not a main cause of sleep apnea, but symptoms from hyperthyroid can prevent a person from quality sleep. Thyroid is making too much hormone (adrenaline). Body is alway's on the go. Reason patients with hyperthyroid have difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep.

Thanks to everyone, whom replied.

Finally recieved some good news, I have an appt scheduled for thyroid uptake (RAI), the 19th !!!! Finally, making some progress. I researched why this test is performed, it's performed for various reasons, I liked all the answers. So, I should finally have some good news in the new year ! My thyroid has swollen more in the past 4 yrs, I burp alot now. So, my trachea is compressed even more then 4 years ago.

It's going to take an awful lot of air, to keep my throat open. *G* radiologist 2 years ago, stated my thyroid ultrasound was showing hyper, and a very abnormal thyroid. But, I'm almost sure my thyroid will be coming out this year, it's massive !!! It's almost becoming impossible to swallow and breathe comfortably. When my nose is congested by sinus/allergies, feels like I'm being strangled Sometimes my neck get's really tight, as if a python was wrapped around it, but I'll keep everyone up to date.

Sleep well friends.
