My dog ate it...really
My dog ate my swift a few nights ago. I am not sure how he got to it. I now FEEL the benifits or rather lack of benifits of apap therapy. Headaches, etc. Feel like hell warmed over. Anyone else ever had a dog eat their mask?

I very nearly had that experience, when I got both my Swift and the Ultra Mirage nasal mask. Here's the story:

Even before I had this incident I religiously kept all my xPAP stuff stored away so that the dog couldn't get to it. Otherwise I'd have had your problem months ago.
Regards,
Bill

I forgot to say that the dog and the cats are often loose in the house when I'm gone--that's when I leave the door closed. I usually round up the cats and put them in the utility room where their litter box and beds are. The dog has free run so I just close my door when I leave. Sorry your mask got ruined and that you will soon be back on CPAP and sleeping well.

Resmed is coming out with the new: Pup-pap chewable mask.
Now you and your best friend can be simpatico.
My dog has a Phd in sleep. He closes his eyes and he's out.
Meanwhile I close my eyes and it's like, ok - now what?
I'd like to know my dogs secret - the only problem is the bum kicks and runs in his sleep - I guess his REM circuit is a bit weak.
No bones about it,
Tom

Ok here is what the Encore data says about Snoopy:
OA: 15 per night ( later found out it was a hairball...he had been licking my bunny)
HA: 300 (he got into the Merlot the same night he ate my mask)
S: All night NON STOP!!!
F: 100% flow ( F stands for fart or flatulence!)
Mask leakage: 100 lpm ( he ate the darn thing!)
Average pressuer 1000cm
He will not be coming near MY machine again! LOL!
