Respironics "True Blue" Mask Help

Post by coglioa » Fri Dec 30, 2011 5:30 am

Been using this mask for over a month now, and have been fairly pleased with the performance, but have a question about the marks it leaves.

I sleep mostly on my stomach and sides, and when I wake up in the morning I have terrible forehead marks. I am pretty certain that the head harness is properly adjusted. Very few leaks from the mask and few "morning lines" from the top and side straps. The forehead piece has a gel padding, but I guess the pressure of my head pressing down on my bed or pillow it making these deep marks.

Does anyone have experience with this mask and the same problem? Are there any solutions out there. I have ordered some Pad-A-Cheek strap covers and wonder if they would work over the forehead piece.

Thanks for taking the time to read and Happy New Year!

Both my masks have a similar constuction as yours, with forheadsupport straps and side straps. The fitting guides I have read and seen tells me that there should not be much tension on the forehead straps. It's the side straps that keeps the mask from leaking. I would start by lying down on my back with the mask on, release all tension on the forehead straps and tighten them just a little more than just taking up the slack.
