thank you for the excellent responses, I did find the clinical menu, it was off + hold up/ramp I believe, and set it to the prescribed settings. I don't see any problem with a public code, but I edited it out, thanks. (Whats the reason behind not wanting to share it? doesn't seem to be something thats sensitive to me).

I got a lot out of that post Robysue, tyvm.

I feel pretty similar to before, but I have been waking up a lot due to random things, as well as adjusting to the CPAP, so I am not expecting an instant change in the way I feel. Did notice slightly more energy after I initially woke up, but have been super tired upon waking last few days, which is normal.

Thanks!

In general, CPAP increases the pressure of the air you're breathing, it doesn't try to make you breathe in and out. Once it "inflates" your throat, it doesn't try to make your lungs inhale or exhale, it just holds pressure. (Simplified explanation.)

If you ever get the feeling the machine's not blowing, stick your finger under an edge of the mask and feel the air blow out. Or put your hand in the air stream coming out the vent.
