deVilbiss algorithm?
I am continually annoyed when I check the daily "report" in the morning that tells me how many hours I've slept and whether or not I've past the 4 hour mark. On many occasions the machine appears to have logged only a portion of my night's cpap usage. I wonder if anyone has figured out the algorithm that is in use to calculate these figures? I do get up during the night, often 2-3 times a night. When I do, I turn the machine off, then turn it back on when I get back in bed - generally in less than 3 minutes. What's going on here?

First... what report are you viewing? Are you plugging your Smart Code into the web tool to get the 'big picture' report, or are you using Smart Link software for the detailed report? Secondly, if you are getting up a number of times a night, you may not be getting good therapy. Most of us who used to get up numerous times a night stop that after being on cpap a while. Are you only concerned about meeting your compliance hours or are you also concerned about the quality of your therapy?
Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

You may need to reset the internal 12 hr clock. Turn off your Intellipap and unplug it right before bed. Then plug it in and turn it on and that will reset the 12 hr clock. This only applies if you do not have the smartlink module installed, as the smartlink module has its own 24 hr clock, that syncs up when you download the data to the software

I am using the DV54 AutoAdjust cpap, and looking at the Quick View Menu, that shows Days > 4 hours, AHI, High Leak, and Daily Usage. Compliance seems not to be an issue, my ENT has not followed up with me since I got the machine (over a year). My sleep has MUCH improved, in spite of getting up. As a computer programmer, it annoys me to see what seems to me to be inconsistencies and not have access to the code!.

try this, use left arrow butons to reveal the smartcode (you dont have to scroll through them), then use right arrow buttons to go into quick menu. that fixes up my AHI figure, Im not sure about the hours usage (nothing would surprise me), so I guess it does a recalculation for the smartcode when you look for it.lydiarosep wrote:I am using the DV54 AutoAdjust cpap, and looking at the Quick View Menu, that shows Days > 4 hours, AHI, High Leak, and Daily Usage.
