someone a whole lot smarter than I

Post by freshair » Thu Dec 15, 2011 12:19 pm

I picked up a spray bottle of Martha Stewart Bathroom Cleaner, itsa 99+% plant and mineral based product----the ingredients are water, Buffer(citric acid) , plant surfactant (decyl glucoside), this decyl stuff is used in make-up remover, I called the company about using it on a latex cpap mask and I got " duh" at the other end.....I wanted to use it as a spray and rinse mask cleaner.......I thought about trying it on some old FX mask to see if it melts or bonds to my counter top....tks..FA

All you need is dish soap or baby shampoo...Don't mess around with unknowns. I wash mine every 2 weeks with hand soap. I use citrus wipes between washings.

Anytime I see the words Bathroom cleaner, I think of a more aggressive cleaning solution. I see it is non toxic, but I think you might do better just using simple baby shampoo or hand soap.

Ah, yes, all "natural" ingredients.

Of course the following are "all natural."

Caffeine
Nicotine
Botulism toxin
Ricin
Crude oil
Asbestos
Bubonic Plague bacteria

I believe a mild soap and water is recommended for most CPAP parts. Many products are sold for cleaning CPAP equipment. Martha Stewart is not one of them. If you are trying to save money buy some mild soap and use that. I use unscented CPAP wipes for cleaning my mask. Martha Stewart CPAP Cleanser?

Sounds like you have your mind made up alady, so no advice is really needed I guess.

If it were me, I would use Simple Green. I believe it is all natural too and it really cleans the tires on my car really well.

If people would just read the ingredients on alot of what they use every day, not just on food & research the wording...I think jaws would be dropping from everywhere.
